Earth Day – Celebrating Our Home
April 22 – a day to remind us that the Earth does not belong to us, but to our grandchildren.
Our mission is to protect natural resources and promote sustainable development. Our programs focus on preserving ecosystems, waste management, and mitigating the effects of climate change, while raising environmental awareness.
We organize programs that promote dialogue between communities, reduce prejudice, and contribute to building social harmony. We believe that preserving cultural values is key to the development of communities.
Strengthening community cohesion and ensuring basic human needs are fundamental conditions for social stability. In our work, we support self-organizing initiatives of local communities and offer solutions to food and nutrition security issues.
Health preservation and healing activities are the cornerstones of the well-being of our communities. Our association works through medical missions, health programs, and community campaigns to enable as many of our fellow human beings as possible to develop a healthy lifestyle.
The Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association was founded in 2003 by a couple of enthusiastic young people and is based in Kisvárda.
Our goal is to promote the process of sustainable development, the preservation of diverse culture, and the development of a healthy lifestyle at all levels of society in order to establish a more livable, more unified world.
Together with our collaborative partners, we operate on five continents to contribute to change globally.
We organize more than 30 cultural events each year with our collaborating partners to foster traditions and arts.
We work with local communities and organizations in more than 30 countries.
We organize more than 40 community events annually with our collaborating partners, locally and internationally.
We reach more than 10,000 students annually with our environmental and cultural programs.
So far, we have sent more than 150 volunteers to development projects.
We reach more than 500,000+ people annually with our programs and campaigns.
We work with more than 100 partners in the spirit of sustainability.
