WHO WE ARE?

The Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association was founded by a couple of enthusiastic young people in 2003 and is based in Kisvárda.

WHAT WE WANT?

"...to promote the process of sustainable development, the preservation of diverse culture and the development of healthy lifestyles at all levels of society in order to establish a more livable, more unified world".

WHAT WE DO?

Our mission is to promote the preservation of our values and to shape our natural and built environment, as well as our society, in the spirit of sustainability through concrete actions, programs, awareness-raising, education, and attitude-shaping. To this end, we continuously cooperate—both nationally and internationally—with local and regional municipalities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, community organizations, educational, healthcare and other social institutions, national parks, authorities responsible for the protection of the natural and built environment, companies, and churches. We also maintain ongoing communication with the media.

The goal of the Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Assocation is to promote the process of sustainable development, preserve cultural diversity and encourage healthy lifestyles at all levels of society, with the aim of building a more livable and unified world.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The preservation of natural resources and the promotion of sustainable development are at the core of our mission. We place special emphasis on ecosystem conservation, addressing waste management challenges and mitigating the effects of climate change. Our programs raise environmental awareness and provide concrete steps toward adopting a sustainable lifestyle.

SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Our Association is committed to strengthening social cohesion and protecting cultural diversity. We organize programs that foster dialogue between communities, reduce prejudice, and promote social harmony. We believe that the preservation of cultural values is essential for the development of communities.

EDUCATION AND AWARENESS-RAISING

Education is one of the most powerful tools for ensuring long-term social progress. Our lectures, educational programs, and awareness-raising activities focus on sustainability, healthy living, and active civic engagement. We prioritize practical, hands-on educational methods to maximize impact.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

Our Association places great emphasis on supporting younger generations. Our programs help children and young people develop their skills, protect their interests, and contribute to the formation of a solid value system. We create community spaces and initiatives that enable youth to explore and express their talents. Our educational programs are designed to foster personal development and prepare them for the challenges of modern society. Through skill-building activities, we strive to help each participant recognize and make use of their own strengths and resources.

LOCAL AND GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT

Our Association actively cooperates—both nationally and internationally—with local and regional municipalities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society groups, educational, healthcare, and other social institutions, national parks, and authorities working to protect the natural and built environment. Our activities extend across international regions. In all our work, we seek to harmonize local and global efforts: we believe that helping distant regions should not come at the expense of our homeland, and that caring for our homeland should not cause us to forget that the whole world is our shared home.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND FOOD SECURITY

Strengthening community cohesion and meeting basic human needs are key to ensuring social stability. We support grassroots community initiatives and provide solutions to issues related to food and food security.

RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

To support the foundations of sustainable development, we conduct research and encourage innovative solutions. Our Association is committed to applying the latest scientific findings and transforming them into practical strategies. Several of our members hold academic degrees, and we value the integration of both traditional knowledge and cutting-edge high-tech approaches in the planning and implementation of international development and holistically sustainable projects.

SOCIAL INITIATIVES

We are actively involved in supporting disadvantaged individuals to promote social security and well-being. Our programs offer not only material assistance but also emotional and intellectual support to those in need. We aim to contribute to the acceptance and equal opportunities of minority groups. We emphasize the enriching role of minority cultures and stand firmly against discrimination. We believe that social diversity is key to resilience and survival.

HEALTH, MEDICAL MISSIONS, AND COMMUNITY WELL-BEING

Health preservation and healing activities are fundamental pillars of community well-being. Through medical missions, healthcare programs, and public health campaigns, our Association works to make healthy lifestyles accessible to as many people as possible.
