Have You Ever Seen a Tree Like This?
There was crocodile petting at St. László Catholic Primary School! Of course, that's an exaggeration, but it's not far from the truth that we brought a real crocodile leather briefcase to the event. The event was part of a program where we visited the schoolchildren of the "Szent László" in Kisvárda earlier this week, on the first day of the...
Timon and Pumbaa also visited St. László Kindergarten. Last week, we told the children at the St. László Catholic Kindergarten in Kisvárda how the characters from The Lion King live in real Africa.
Emanuel (14 years old) walks several kilometers every day, carrying the sack (in the photo behind them) filled with PET bottles, wires, metal sheets, and other scrap metal. He collects these materials from the streets and sells them to the right people (although it's hard to find buyers) who then make a profit from them. The metal, wires, and metal...
African traditional medicine has been using the power of nature for centuries to treat and prevent diseases. One of the most interesting herbs widely used in African medicine is Hoodia Gordonii, which is native to the African deserts.
Longu Ganzaj, who always has a kind word for everyone. We've known Longu since we arrived in Zambia, as every time we're in the area where he works, he warmly greets us and always has a kind word to say, just like he does with everyone else. However, it wasn't until last week that we had a deeper conversation with him....

Timon and Pumbaa visited the Gyöngyszem Reformed Kindergarten in Kisvárda today, in celebration of World Environment Day. The children are all familiar with The Lion King movie, and they all know who Timon and Pumbaa are.

A Worn Face. Empty Gaze. Hopelessness. What 20 Years in Prison Does to a Person in Zambia?
During our visit to Lusaka, we took a tour around the famous and renowned Sunday Craft Handmade Village, which is highly respected not only in Zambia but across Southern Africa. This place is better known as the "Local Crafts Village" in English. Despite the name, it resembles more of a market than a village, although the area is quite large....

On Monday morning at 8 AM, the members of the medical mission started their work at two different locations. A few weeks ago, I shared why I truly enjoy markets both in Hungary and here in Zambia. However, today I'm showing a slightly different perspective, and I think this is the first market I don't really like.
We have launched a medical mission to Ethiopia. On May 13, 2023, a medical mission organized by our association and the Africa Research Institute of Óbuda University will depart for the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Have we truly forgotten how to live in harmony with nature? A huge shout-out to everyone! This will be a slightly different post compared to the usual African adventures.
