Three Weeks, Three African Countries: Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya – #2

Péter and Csaba Travel from Rwanda to Uganda: A Visit to Rugarama Hospital and Bwama Island.

Péter and Csaba headed from Rwanda to Uganda, where their first stop was in Kabale at the Rugarama Hospital, operated by the Anglican Church. They met with Dr. Esther Rutaremwa (the hospital's Human Resources Manager) to discuss future Hungarian medical missions.

The meeting was also attended by Reuben Byomuhangi, a church canon. In addition to assessing the hospital's needs, Péter and Csaba filmed short videos and then continued their journey towards Lake Bunyonyi. On Bwama Island, they met with Ronald Ngabirano, the head of the small clinic, to discuss the facility's needs.

The remainder of their few-day visit was spent coordinating our food security research project.
