We conducted a waste clean-up on the Holt-Szamos River

We participated in a waste clean-up action organized by Nature Centrum Nonprofit Kft. and the Fekete Rigó Guesthouse, along the Győrtelek section of the Holt-Szamos, with the involvement of local volunteers.

The riverbank section, approximately 2 km in length, was cleared of plastic bottles, household waste, washed-up boxes, and jam jars. Unfortunately, our experience shows that not many people seem to feel responsible for this part of the Natura 2000 ecological network. This is evidenced by the 16 bags of trash we collected during the active morning of the weekend.

We intend to continue this successful initiative in the future, and we plan to involve fish wardens to assist with the efforts. We would like to thank the enthusiastic volunteers from Győrtelek for their participation in the action!
