A few weeks ago, I received some questions about what the stores look like in Zambia! So… the small "shop" shown in the picture is the most common type around our area. At the time the photo was taken, it was empty because it was Sunday, and the locals are typically at church during that time.

This is more or less what all the local street vendor shops look like. They're made from wood, newspaper, cardboard, logs, and various discarded plastic items. Usually, you can buy vegetables, fruits, locally made sweets, or even meat at these places – but meat is strictly OFF-LIMITS. However, everything else can be safely consumed after proper cleaning.

In addition, there are also smaller and larger supermarkets in the city, but these small "shacks" are by far the most common.
