Dr. Péter Gergő Juhász's Report from Kenya

28/05/2019

"Our small delegation has arrived in Nairobi. I am traveling together with Ágnes Százvai, who is presenting the city of Kisvárda in Africa, as well as István Bankus, an entrepreneur from Nyíregyháza.

Through our new project, Meeting of Worlds, we visited Nasir Abdul Daim and his family. We have had a close collaboration with Nasir for over ten years. We held discussions on Kenya's economic, demographic, ideological, nature- and environmental protection issues and possible solutions to these challenges.

Nasir's wife, Beáta Horváth, teaches at a local primary and secondary school, and she is confronted with these challenges daily and firsthand. Beáta is the author and translator of several books, an anthropologist and writer. She has been living and working in Africa for more than twenty years. Nasir, a businessman of Lebanese origin, has been supporting the strengthening of Hungarian-Kenyan relations through his work for many years.

We will soon report from Malawi!"
