We celebrated Earth Day with the students of Pap Village

29/04/2023

We celebrated Earth Day with the students of Pap Village. On April 24th, we visited the Kölcsey Ferenc Primary School in Pap, where the president of our association, Péter, presented our short films to the children.

The younger students watched films about the critically endangered golden monkeys, which are found only in Uganda, as well as other protected and endangered animal species. The older students learned about the mountain gorillas, also critically endangered, which are native only to Uganda, the vast tea plantations, and the dam located at the source of the Nile.

We also introduced the efforts of Hungarians in supporting African communities, and the students had the opportunity to learn about projects funded by Hungary Helps.

After the films, a discussion followed, during Péter answered the very curious and active questions from the children.

We would like to thank the teachers of the Kölcsey Ferenc Primary School for the invitation!
