Planetrise Association: Education in Uganda
Dr. Péter Gergő Juhász, the President of our Association, participated as a trainer in an agricultural advisory training program in Uganda. The program was organized by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, Szent István University, and the Hungarian Africa Society. Péter had the following to say about the training:
"In my opinion, the students and instructors form a strong team for the future. The participants of the training are well-prepared both theoretically and practically, and are capable of effectively contributing to the elimination of food insecurity in Uganda, addressing agricultural issues, and developing various sectors.
The participants came from all regions of the country, and by leveraging their networks, they are able to carry out a reliable and representative data collection, which will map Uganda's entire territory from an agricultural and food security perspective. The results obtained in this way could successfully contribute to the involvement of international (including Hungarian) scientists, civil society, and business groups in mutually beneficial collaborations."
