Join the #ForeverWild Jane Goodall Campaign

The #ForeverWild campaign, launched by the Jane Goodall Institutes, raises awareness about the illegal wildlife trade. We are proud to join this initiative. As you know, we are actively working in Malawi, so we were thrilled to hear the news that the President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, issued a statement supporting the cause. He joined Angola, Costa Rica, and Gabon in urging the signing of an additional protocol under the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) to prevent and combat the illegal trade of wildlife and plants.

"Malawi is committed to maintaining its global reputation as a bastion and sanctuary for biodiversity, as well as its impressive achievements in the fight against the illegal ivory trade, which has garnered international recognition," he said.
