Hungarian Doctors Work Relentlessly in Ethiopia
Hungarian doctors are working relentlessly in Ethiopia. The past few days have been filled with intense work for the Hungarian missionary doctors in Ethiopia. In addition to several successful surgeries performed daily, they are also continuously training local colleagues. At the St. Paul Hospital's Otolaryngology Department, Dr. Edina Pálinkás and Dr. Kinga Jakab-Péter, as well as Dr. Gábor Nagy and Dr. Dávid Nagy in neurosurgery, along with Dr. Máté Bata, the anesthesiologist, are performing life-saving surgeries, complemented by hands-on training for local residents.
In addition to their medical work, our doctors donated medical equipment worth one million forints to the heart hospital, which will be used by local doctors for heart valve surgeries.
Besides their work, the team also took some time for a small excursion and visited the St. George Orthodox Church, where the local archpriest personally guided them as a gesture of recognition for their selfless work.
The mission is nearing its end, and our doctors are making the most of their remaining time.
