Planetrise Association: We Met Jane Goodall Again
We had the honor of meeting Dr. Jane Goodall, the world-renowned primatologist and chimpanzee researcher, once again! The event series organized by the Jane Goodall Institute began on May 7th with a dinner at the MADHOUSE Budapest Craft Bar, aimed at supporting the work of the Institute. On May 8th, we attended the "Pannon University - Circular Together" HOPE conference organized by Pannon University in Veszprém, where we arrived with the students of the Kisvárda Bessenyei György Highschool and the Planetrise Roots&Shoots team.
During the conference, the students personally presented their English-language presentation to Dr. Jane Goodall and other attendees. This presentation had earned the "Besis" Boglárka Gáspár a 3rd place award at the International Conference of Young Researchers in Belgrade. Dr. Goodall personally congratulated the students, and then signed posters and photographs that were purchased as keepsakes.
The event series continued on May 9th in Budapest. At the Hármashatárhegy Airport Trail, nature-focused programs and presentations took place. Dr. Goodall visited our team again here, and even took photos with the students.
It was clear that the young participants enjoyed themselves, and we would like to congratulate them on their involvement, volunteering, and professional presentation!
We are so proud of you: Boglárka Gáspár, Roxána Szikora, Petra Grunda, Ágnes Kohan, Hajnalka Juhász, Nándor Király, and Zsolt Dolhai!
We thank the Jane Goodall Institute for the opportunity to meet Jane once again!
A special thanks to György Bessenyei Highschool in Kisvárda for supporting the students' participation in the program series!
