Earth is Our Home – Environmental Awareness Event
On Friday, April 5th, the Van Esély Public Benefit Association held an all-day educational-environmental awareness event at the Saint Ladislaus Catholic Secondary School, Vocational School, Primary School, Dormitory and Kindergarten.
At the ceremonial opening, welcome speeches were given by the school's principal, Béla Kerezsi, and the event's patron, Mayor Tibor Leleszi. The event was enriched by a cultural performance from the school's folk song group and a presentation by the kindergarten children.
The first program in the morning was the screening of a short film, in which our Association's president, Péter Gergő Juhász, climbs Malawi's highest peak, Mount Mulanje, together with our colleague, Csaba Szeremley, presenting the surrounding landscape in a nature-documentary style.
Following this, educational presentations were held in different classrooms by various experts.
