Call to Action from the President of the Planetrise Association
"An intelligent person doesn't litter – and for everyone else, it's forbidden!"
On Sunday, March 31st, I went cycling with my daughter to the area around the Castle Lake.
Sadly, we saw that just a few days after the national "TeSzedd!" clean-up campaign: https://szelektalok.hu/teszedd, one of the most outstanding natural and cultural treasures of our town was already littered again.
Since its founding, our Association has always held the cleanliness and maintenance of the Castle Garden close to its heart (as shown in the first photos). In recent years, I had been very proud to see the residents of our town using the garden respectfully for leisure and recreation. Even during the "LeszFeszt" festival, which welcomed tens of thousands of visitors, the flower beds remained untouched and young people took care to keep the area clean.
That's why it was deeply disappointing to witness the damage and littering caused by neglect and vandalism this Sunday.
On behalf of the Association, I ask everyone: let's appreciate what we have and preserve it for the youth and future generations!
