Scelsa Giuseppe – Art from Waste
Giuseppe Scelsa's exhibition can be viewed until the end of December at the House of Nature in Gyenesdiás. The exhibition was organized by the Planetrise Association and made possible thanks to the Bakonyerdő Zrt.
The exhibition features the works of Giuseppe Scelsa, an Italian amateur artist living in Hungary, whose pieces are made from repurposed materials. The opening on October 20th in Gyenesdiás at the House of Nature attracted a large number of interested visitors.
The artist himself shares his thoughts on his creations:
"I find inspiration mainly at the scrap yard, or among materials that others consider useless, thus giving a second life to an old item or what is perceived as waste."
'This is the first stop of a travelling exhibition, the works will be presented in Budapest and then in Kisvárda' - Dr. Péter Gergő Juhász, President of Planetrise Assocation.
"Giuseppe Scelsa's works reflect on recycling, reinterpreting things that we consider useless, and inspiring us and visitors to realize that they might not be so useless after all. By giving them new life, they can offer inspiration and hope. They also draw attention to the importance of recycling." - András Kádár, Executive Director of the Jane Goodall Institute.
