In collaboration: We report again from Uganda
Greetings! We're reporting again from Uganda... Our association members, Csaba and Péter, along with the Secretary General of the Jane Goodall Institute, András Kádár, and volunteer Katalin Bodó, have set off towards Uganda's national parks after a visit from the Hungarian Ambassador and the Senior Advisor of Hungary Helps.
"The goal of our visit to the national parks is research and eco-tourism. In the near future, we'll be launching environmental and conservation programs that are open to those who wish to participate in the protection of endangered animal and plant species.
In addition to the meetings, we've also been observing the local wildlife. Our member, Csaba, has been filming constantly. We managed to capture golden monkeys, wild chimpanzees, and gorillas on camera. We also took footage of hippopotamuses, buffaloes, giraffes, and many other exotic animals. These short films will be made into educational material based on local testimonies, making them great teaching resources.
Of course, we didn't forget about the local people. Katalin held a class for high school girls at Bwama Island School. András and I discussed environmental and conservation topics with local young people. Meanwhile, Csaba kept filming, so soon you'll be able to see all the exciting details on our website and Facebook page. The team will return to Hungary Saturday night." – says Péter, President of our association.
